What is the Clixsense about and who runs the site?

Clixsense is PTC (Pay to click service) and survey site where you can earn money by mostly viewing advertisements and completing surveys. Clixsense was launched in Feburary 2007 and Mr. Steven Grisky was the owner of Clixsense at that time. However, on May 2010, it was sold to Mr. Jim Grago and since that, Mr. Grago is operating it.

So, how can you earn from Clixsense?

There are a total of 6 different ways you can earn from Clixsense.

1. Get Paid By Clicking On Ads

Premium Members tend to get a lot more advertisements every day to watch because Clixsense offers to its advertisers the opportunity to promote their content only on Premium members.

You will get paid, $0.001 for a 5 secs ad, $0.005 for 15 secs, $0.01 for 3o secs, and $0.02 for 60secs.

2. Get Paid By Completing Surveys

The disadvantage of this earning method is that surveys appear only to people who are from top tier countries such as United States,United Kingdom,Australia,Canada, Ireland, Germany etc. I am from Singapore and I had never been able to complete a survey before. Surveys are geographically targeted as well as related with your profile information. So you can be disqualify anytime in the middle of the survey if they think you are not fit for that survey.

3. Get Paid By Completing Tasks

Tasks are like massive mini jobs that need people to do them. Each Task You Complete you can earn from $0.01 up to $0.14. However, the tasks are provided by CrowdFlower, a crowdsourcing service so you have to create a account with CrowdFlower before you can start the tasks.

4. Get Paid By Completing Offers.

The rewards and requirements vary for offer to offer, so please be sure to read the offer descriptions as it will give you the instructions on how to complete the offer, and show you the reward for successful completion. Individual offers vary from member to member as it’s country targeted base on your locations.

5. Get Paid By Playing Clixgrid

Screen Shot 2016-05-28 at 4.17.57 PM Clixgrid is a game where you can earn up to $10 if you are lucky enough. It is basically an image divided into small boxes (30 X 20) and each time you click on a box, an advertisement appears. After you click a box, it will turn red.

You have to watch the advertisement for 10 seconds (5 seconds for premium members) and see if you win a prize.
You can earn $0.10, $0.25, $0.50, $1.00, $5,00 and $10,00. Free Members have 30 chances per day while Premium members have 60 chances per day. In my opinion, it’s hard even to win $0.10, the game is just a bonus.

6.  Get Paid By Referring Others To Clixsense

Lastly, there is a affiliate program by Clixsense, where you will earn a commission by just referring others to join the program. You can earn commissions from your referrals when they view ads, complete surveys and purchase advertisement services or upgrade their membership in Clixsense.

First you get $0.0001 to $0.002 for each time your direct referral clicks on an ad and when he/she decides to join the premium membership which is $17 per year, you will earn $1 if you have a starter account and $2 for the premium one. If you’re a premium member you will also earn $1 when someone in the 2nd-8th tier decides to upgrade. You also get 10% commission if your referral buys anything and 5% of what they make from offers and tasks

So, if you can refer more people, you can earn more money in Clixsense. This is by far the best way to make money with Clixsense, but it is also one of the hardest. Why? Because you must know how to do affiliate marketing for this to work. You need to be able to have your affiliate link in front thousands of viewers to really benefit from it. You can’t just spam your link on Facebook, and expect people to join.

Finale Verdict: Clixsense is not a scam, however I do not recommend it. Why? Because it’s a waste of time and effort. The only “real” way to earn is by referring others to join the program. All the others ways are very time consuming and provide very little earning potential.

Lastly, if you are currently a member of the Clixsense community and have had a positive or negative experiences, you can leave me your comment below, I’ll be happy to talk to you! 🙂

Hi Samuel
Interesting read. That sounds like a whole lot of effort for very little payback but I can see why some people would think they could earn significant money doing it if they did it all day long but when you add it all up, it really does amount to very little for a whole lot of work. Great information. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Samuel,
It is definitely not worth the time and money. I had tried doing surveys for some Adv Companies in the past for a few dollars and had to spend hours keying in answers. It was so tiresome and if you make mistakes, will have to start all over again. So you are right to say that it’s a waste of time and effort.
Thanks for sharing, Sadie
